Hello!
I currently reside in Leicester, England. I'm 20 years old and I'm a very keen DJ and Computer enthusiast along with Computer Security.
My passion for flight started at an early age, There was something about being able to fly and be free that totally fascinated me. I have always wanted to be a pilot, whether fixed wing or rotary. My father used to fly gliders and this kicked started my inspiration into the hobby. Still being at School with little to no funds, I would search videos on R/C Helicopters, and I had no idea that they could perform "3D" flight. This totally blew me away, and I was hooked.
My first helicopter was an E-Sky Belt CP. Without knowing of any local clubs at the time, I learnt mostly using the resources of the internet as well as the simulator. I rapidly progressed onto Raptor 30 that was considerably better than the Belt CP.
Over the past several years I have been extremely fortunate and grateful to become a Sponsored Pilot for several outstanding companies.
I try to attend as many events as possible across the UK; it’s great to see new and old faces and make new friends.
I enjoy helping new people into the hobby, from showing them the basic principles of setup, to buddying them on their first flight and beyond. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to pass on what I know to newcomers and see them progress.
In my spare time, away from the R/C Hobby, I have a passion for Music, actively progressing my DJing career spinning in the Harderstyles of music! Playing in clubs is an amazing feeling, knowing that everybody is vibing off the atmosphere you create!
I also have a strong passion in Computer Systems, my inner geek for blazing fast hardware has somewhat subsided, but is actively building back up again (Still a hardcore overclocker!), I mainly focus on Computer Security, I taken part in the UK's first Cyber Security Challenge - Placing 2nd out of thousands of contestants which was a big achievement for me.
I fly at the Leicester Heli Flyers club, and I reside on many forums (RcHeliAddicts, RunRyder, Helifreak) under the username "callum"
